Classic Audio Books
Classic audio books may be described as such for a variety
of reasons. The term "classic" is used traditionally to speak
things coming from the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome. In
this sense, a classic story would be one that had been written during
this time.
Today, the phrase "classic audio books" is usually used in
reference to widely known or historically significant works. For some
people, these are older and time-tested stories. For others, many modern
options also fit into this category.
Older classic audio books include such titles as Black Beauty, Huckleberry
Finn, and Alice in Wonderland. Some would consider the King James Bible
a classic story as well. Others may prefer to put that into the Christian
or Spirituality category.
J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series is an excellent example of what
would be considered a modern classic. This is because it is widely recognized
on an international level.
